Educating Wooster students is a community effort! The Wooster City School District has several employment opportunities within our district, both in the classroom and in support staffing areas. Beyond substitute teaching positions, we also have openings for paraprofessionals/monitors, bus drivers, custodians, maintenance, secretaries, and food services. Regardless of your schedule, ability, or interests, there is a position that’s right for you.

The Department of Education has renewed Wooster High School’s designation as a Purple Star School. This award recognizes school districts that are supportive of the community’s veterans and their commitment to serving military-connected students and families. It signifies Wooster High School’s demonstrated commitment to serving these students and their families.

Ohio’s Purple Star Advisory Board has established a set of important criteria that must be met in order to be considered for this designation.  In receiving this renewal of the Purple Star Award, it shows Wooster High School has continued to not only meet, but in many cases, exceed these criteria.

The Purple Star designation is valid for three years. In 2024, Wooster High School may apply for another designation renewal.
