The Wooster-Orrville NAACP sponsors an annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay Contest where students all over Wayne County can learn and write about the impact of Dr. King's life. All students in Wayne County in grades 1-12 have the opportunity to submit their written responses to a series of grade-banded essay prompts to be evaluated...
Facility Master Planning

The Wooster City School District Business Advisory Council (BAC) Master Planning Committee is working with the community to develop, and ultimately recommend, a Master Plan to the Board of Education. The Master Plan would detail and define the community's desired grade-level configurations of schools, school building size, and school location/address.

Strategic Planning

During the 2022-2023 School Year, we will be participating in Strategic Planning. Goals and Objectives will be developed based on feedback from a variety of opportunities both virtual and face to face.

Our Brand

In the Wooster City School District, we are proud and happy to tell the story of the history of our colors. The video at this link tells the story of revered community member Stanley Gault and the pride he had for the Wooster City Schools' Blue and Gold!

School Safety Tip Line

The Wooster City School District is offering a new safety hotline provided by the Ohio School Safety Center (OSSC). The hotline is called the Safer Ohio School Tip Line. It is a fee service that accepts calls and text 24/7. The tip line allows students, parents, school administrators, and staff members to anonymously share information with school officials and law enforcement about threats to student safety. The tip line number is 844-723-3764. Please use this to report:

Bullying and cyberbullying incidents; Verbal or written threats observed toward students, staff, or the school itself; Self-harm or suicidal behaviors; Weapons/suspicious devices on or near school grounds;  Illegal drug use
